Adetoun Adeniyi Stands Firm in Defense of Air Peace: "Our National Carrier Deserves Our Support!”

In a powerful statement that has sparked widespread discussion, Nigerian activist Adetoun Adeniyi has come out strongly in defense of Air Peace, Nigeria’s national carrier, urging Nigerians to protect and support the airline. Adeniyi’s remarks come amid growing criticism of the airline, particularly over recent controversies involving passenger luggage policies.

Adeniyi, known for her vocal advocacy, did not mince words as she slammed critics, declaring, *“No Air Peace slander will be tolerated!”* She emphasized that Air Peace is a symbol of national pride and should be treated as such. “We cannot try this in a foreign land,” she said, pointing out the double standards often applied to Nigerian businesses compared to foreign entities.

The activist also addressed recent allegations of hidden charges and unfair treatment of passengers. She clarified that Air Peace’s policies are rooted in safety, not profit. “Every aircraft has a maximum take-off weight. If the exact weight being carried is not declared, it could lead to unsafe operations or even accidents,” Adeniyi explained. She highlighted that the airline’s strict luggage declaration rules are in place to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew, a standard practice in the aviation industry worldwide.

Adeniyi’s defense of Air Peace has resonated with many Nigerians who see the airline as a beacon of national achievement. However, it has also reignited debates about the challenges faced by Nigerian businesses in gaining public trust and support.

Will this be the turning point in how Nigerians view and support their national carrier? Only time will tell.
