Nigerians React as Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin Prays for President Tinubu, Hosts Africa's Largest Crossover Crowd
Renowned cleric, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, has once again made headlines with a record-breaking crowd at the Mercy City crossover service, believed to be the largest in Africa. The event, which drew millions from within and outside Nigeria, was marked by powerful worship, miracles, and a special prayer for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
However, the prophet's prayer for the President has sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians on social media. While some commended Prophet Jeremiah for interceding for the nation's leadership, others criticized the move, questioning the sincerity of praying for a government many see as failing to address the nation’s pressing issues.
One Twitter user, @Chizoba_okafor, remarked, "Which kind prayer be this? Why will anybody pray for T-pain? This kind ye ye prayer be this!" Similarly, @Mujirat_Aremu compared Tinubu to Pharaoh, saying, "See as people dey hungry, you dey pray for Pharaoh. Even children of Israel no suffer for Pharaoh bad like this!"
Meanwhile, some focused on the overwhelming turnout at the event. @favorSamson observed, "See as this man packs out massive multitude as Crossover Service... with all the dragging everywhere, still choke."
