Learn how to place targeted Ads on GTK Forums

Dear GTK Forum Members,

We thank you for your interest in advertising on the GTK Forums.

GTK Forum runs a Targeted Ad Platform, in which any GTK Forums member can place adverts on the sections of GTK Forum where the people he/she wants to reach are most likely to be located. For instance, ads relating to politics can be placed in the Politics section of the forum.

Moreover, placing ads on GTK is simple, the first thing to do is to design your ad banner. The sizes are 343 pixels for width and 120 pixels for height with JPG or PNG format. When that is done, log in to your GTK Forum account and follow these steps:

  1. Click on Create or Manage Ads.
  2. Next, click Create New Ad and enter an optional title for the ad.
  3. Click on Browse under AD IMAGE to select the banner you designed previously
  4. Click the drop-down menu under AD DISPLAY SECTION to select the sections you want your ads to display. Note: That you can display the same ad in many sections of GTK Forum by simply clicking on Create New Ad to continue adding the same ad to many sections.
  5. Under AD DURATION UNIT, enter the number of days, weeks or months to display the ad.
  6. Under AD DURATION TYPE select duration type e.g. DAY, WEEK or MONTH
  7. In the field under AD LANDING PAGE, type in the URL of your website page where customers will be taken to when they click on your ad. Begin the URL with this protocol: http:// or https://
  8. Finally, click on Create Ad Now button to create the ad.

Your ad may be disapproved if it found to be derogatory, offensive, detestable or frightening.

When your ad is approved, we will email you with information about how you can purchase advertising credits so you can freely place your ads on any section of GTK Forums including the home page.
