The COVID-19 outbreak has changed industry dynamics and has impacted several industries including restaurants, travel in which eCommerce industry is not left behind. According to the research, more than 50% percent of customers avoid crowded place due to fear of getting infected due to COVID-19. Social distancing has brought incline shift in consumer behaviour. Below I have listed

The Good Effects on eCommerce:

-Due to the restricted movement led by COVID-19 the demand for hygiene products is popping up which includes soap, mask, hand gloves, hand sanitizer etc. 

-Demand for daily essential products and goods is on the rise in order to avoid mass gathering.

-More and more customers purchase their products online which represent a huge opportunity for some verticals such as grocery, pharmacy, medical etc.

The Bad Effects on eCommerce

-The global value chain and logistics is disrupted by COVID-19 pandemic at the core of global regions, the entire world is facing a major shortage.

-The consumer prefer essential products to buy, since they are hesitant to spend more than essentials money due to the fear of second time lockdown.  

-The consumer prefers to buy essential products only due to the fear of when lockdown can come and they will have to face a shortage of money.

-In order to take the advantages of COVID-19 confusion, cybercrime and data breaches is on the rise.

However it is hard time to survive for some businesses, but they adopt latest technology and trends and get their store online using the help of eCommerce solution provider then they can grow their business beyond their imagination.
