A Superintendent of police is receiving treatment in an Abuja Hospital following Monday’s clash between police operatives and protesting Shiite members.
Nsifon Essien from TVC reports that another protest by members of the Islamic of Nigeria in the Metropolis of Abuja.
The Monday’s Protest degenerated into a violent clash with the police who had earlier escorted them.
Casualties were recorded on both sides. The clash saw the damaged of several police vehicles. Worse hit was a man later identified as Superintendent of Police Linus Oga, he appeared dead but moments later began riding in pains. He was later rushed to the Hospital where he was diagnosed to have suffered several life threatening injuries particularly to the head.
On Tuesday when TVC visited, he had been scheduled for orthopaedic surgery. He could hardly speak.
Apart from Oga, another police operative is happy to be alive. Woman Inspector Mary Ame says she was shot in the arm.
