Governor Akinwunmi Ambode officially declared his intention to seek re-election in 2019 on the platform of All Progressive Congress APC and charge Lagosians to join him on another eventful journey to prosperity.
It all started from Abuja. This is coming after APC Chieftains, members and supporters had repeatedly called on Ambode to seek a second term as Governor of Lagos State.
It was an entertaining expression of joy and excitement as host of residents and party faithful divided the airport to welcome the Lagos State Governor back to Lagos.
Ambode began by thanking all who stood with him in the last three and half years of selfless service.
The Governor thanked the national leader of APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support. With the goodwill messages other party chieftains also appreciated the APC national leader. Many said that the picking up of the form means more years of infrastructural development, economic prosperity, youth employment opportunity and more landmark projects.
